Nice to meet you

Hi, I'm Kendra. I've always been drawn to complex, ambiguous problems that feel overwhelming on the surface. There's something deeply satisfying about taking a workflow that feels impossibly complex and making it feel obvious. I came to design through psychology, which means I've always been just as interested in why people struggle with something as I am in fixing it.
One of my favorite examples of this is a project where users had to configure identity resolution across multiple disconnected areas of a product with no guidance, sequence, or explanation of why any of it mattered. Before I could simplify it, I had to truly understand it myself. I sat down with the engineering lead for the identity resolution engine and we sifted through it. Once I understood it well, I focused the experience on only the essential steps and gave users just enough context to move forward with confidence. That’s the kind of problem I love to solve.
Personal values

Honesty
Honesty means being a source of truth for users and teammates alike. I call out tradeoffs early, push back when something's off, and make sure hard conversations happen before they get expensive.

Strong foundations
I always want to understand the problem before I start solving it. Getting the team on the same page early is what keeps debates productive and solutions on track.

Adaptability
As new research surfaces, engineering hits a wall, or priorities shift, my first instinct is to go back to the problem. When the problem changes, the most important thing is surfacing it quickly so the team can adapt without losing momentum.

My assistants: Alex and Miso.
